On April 23rd 2025, Sinomec Hydrogen Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (referred to "Sinohec") held a product launch event at its factory in the Haigang District of Qinhuangdao City, to show hydrogen fuel cell components (including carbon paper) and fuel cell stack series products.

New products released at the launch include: gas diffusion layer carbon paper for fuel cells, molded graphite plates, 3-in-1 fuel cell electrodes, molded graphite plate fuel cell air-cooled and water-cooled stacks, metal plate fuel cell air-cooled and water-cooled stacks, and molded thermoplastic plate multi-purpose hydrogen production electrolyzers. These products find extensive applications in fields such as drones, vehicles, ships, portable power supplies, backup power, and energy storage.

Sinohec was founded in Beijing in February 2018 and relocated to Qinhuangdao City in September 2020. The company is dedicated to the R&D and application of hydrogen energy technologies, focusing on creating industry-leading products categorized as "Three Plates" (metal bipolar plates, engraved graphite plates, and molded graphite plates), "Two Membranes" (high-temperature proton exchange membranes and hydrogen purification membranes), and "One Paper" (carbon paper). Its capabilities include R&D and production of carbon paper in various thicknesses, molded graphite plates, stamped metal plates, membrane electrodes, fuel cell stacks (air-cooled and liquid-cooled graphite and metal plate stacks), and integrated system technologies for hydrogen fuel cells. Sinohec operates an annual production capacity of 200,000 square meters for domestic carbon paper production lines, enabling continuous, roll-to-roll high-efficiency manufacturing.
